Sedation
Conscious sedation is best utilized for shy children who require a short dental procedure. This method of treatment is not intended for multiple fillings or long appointments. Medications used will allow your child to remain awake, decrease the response to pain, and lessen the chance for the child to remember the procedure. Our doctors will discuss with you in detail whether conscious sedation is the best option for your child.
If your child is not a candidate for conscious sedation, then general anesthesia may be necessary to perform and complete the treatment. Please see our General Anesthesia tab for more information and to learn about the Dentist Anesthesiologist, Dr. Kevin Dincher.
